About the position

The Purchasing Group Manager for Interior Cabin at Lucid USA, Inc. is responsible for managing a team of Global Supply Managers and overseeing all business with a group of interiors suppliers. This role serves as a key internal interface with various departments to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of world-class products. The manager will establish global supply chain strategies, support cross-functional teams, and drive business decisions throughout the product life cycle.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and mentor a team of supply chain professionals.
  • Present upward status of objectives, strategies, and remedies to issues.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Supplier Quality to identify potential suppliers with the right qualifications.
  • Create RFQs, review, analyze and clarify quotations from suppliers, and develop sourcing recommendations.
  • Negotiate favorable contracts including parts pricing, tooling costs, and Engineering Services.
  • Work with suppliers and Engineering to release parts into production and issue POs for Prototype/Production Parts.
  • Manage supplier development and tooling timelines, ensuring part availability for prototype builds and production starts.
  • Maintain overall supplier relationships and act as the point of contact for all commercial issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in technical, supply chain, or finance discipline; MBA is a plus.
  • 8-10 years of Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Engineering experience focused on interior cabin commodities.
  • Understanding of key manufacturing processes supporting interior cabin.
  • Product launch experience from design to production.
  • Knowledge of quality principles, product development processes, and data analysis.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with organizational and program management capabilities.
  • Proficient in Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word, and ERP systems (SAP or equivalent).
