The Purchasing/Logistics/Safety Manager at MC Molds Inc. is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the inbound and outbound logistics, material control, and safety management within the organization. This position requires a proactive individual who can manage the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies efficiently. The manager will prepare and manage shipping documents such as shippers, Bills of Lading (BOL), packing slips, and all necessary documentation for both internal and external customers. A key aspect of this role is to identify shipping issues and implement timely solutions to ensure smooth operations. In addition to logistics management, the Purchasing/Logistics/Safety Manager will be responsible for creating and maintaining weekly shipping reports and customer job reports. The role involves selecting, developing, and overseeing suppliers for outside contracting, ensuring that all processes are cost-effective while meeting timing and quality requirements. The manager will also be tasked with purchasing raw materials and supplies, maintaining an updated stock list, and researching alternative sources to reduce costs and enhance quality. Safety management is another critical component of this position. The manager will train and inform new and existing employees about hazardous materials to ensure compliance with Right to Know Laws. They will represent the company during meetings with OSHA and insurance representatives, conduct inspections, and investigate accidents, writing detailed reports as necessary. Furthermore, the manager will develop and maintain a comprehensive company-wide safety program, ensuring that all safety forms and documentation are properly created, acquired, and maintained. Building and maintaining professional relationships with all internal and external stakeholders, including manufacturing, sales, engineering personnel, vendors, customers, and suppliers, is essential to support MC Mold's goals.
