About the position

Boyer Sales & Service is seeking a full-time Purchasing and Warehouse Specialist to join our team in Centennial, CO. This role is essential for maintaining an organized warehouse, managing inventory control, handling shipping and receiving, and supporting service technicians. The specialist will ensure compliance with safety standards and optimize inventory and purchasing processes to enhance efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant warehouse environment.
• Handle all purchasing and tracking of warehouse and project inventory.
• Manage and maintain company-owned tools and equipment, tracking usage and returns.
• Oversee all shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accurate processing of shipments.
• Maintain and optimize inventory and purchasing software systems.
• Oversee maintenance and service schedules for company-owned vehicles.
• Operate company vehicles to transport tools and equipment to job sites as needed.
• Order, verify, and confirm the accuracy of parts and equipment for field service jobs.
• Transport and dispose of materials at scrap yards when necessary.
• Collaborate effectively across departments, maintaining clear communication with team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support business operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in purchasing and inventory management.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Self-motivated with strong leadership abilities and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and coworkers.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift.
• Physical capability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Active driver's license with a clean driving record.

Nice-to-haves

• Ability to read and interpret schematics or blueprints.
• Experience using Microsoft Dynamics Nav 2017 or similar inventory management software.
• Previous experience in a mechanical field with basic knowledge of electrical or electronic systems.
• Familiarity with pumps, motors, and control systems.
