About the position

The Purchasing Manager is responsible for overseeing the purchasing and control of all food, beverage, and general items for the hotel. This role involves negotiating contracts with suppliers, maintaining accurate records of transactions, and assisting the Finance and Operational Departments in monitoring and controlling the cost of sales. The Purchasing Manager plays a crucial role in financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure the hotel's operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the purchasing and control of all food, beverage, and general items for the hotel.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers for the purchase of required goods.
  • Maintain accurate records of transactions and trends.
  • Assist Finance and Operational Departments in monitoring and controlling the cost of sales.
  • Conduct financial analysis and reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize functions.
  • Strong computer proficiency with knowledge of purchasing systems software.
  • Strong working knowledge of restaurant industry principles and practices.
  • Training or supervisory experience in a relevant field.
  • Strong negotiating and closing skills.
