About the position

Foxconn EV System LLC is seeking a Procurement Manager for Direct Materials, located in Lordstown, OH. This position is exempt and reports directly to the Director of Procurement and Supplier Quality. As a key member of the procurement team, the Procurement Manager will be responsible for ensuring supply continuity, maintaining strong relationships with supplier partners, and leveraging skills for cost optimization. The role involves managing the direct material spend for vehicle assembly in the plant, specifically for the Monarch Tractor Program and future vehicle programs. The Procurement Manager will lead, mentor, and manage a team of buyers, ensuring they are effective in their roles. Responsibilities include providing requirements and support for IT on the integration and purchasing data migration into SAP, negotiating pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and other agreements with suppliers. The manager will also identify and implement cost reduction actions, localize and onboard new suppliers, and be accountable for supplier key performance indicators. In addition, the Procurement Manager will develop and govern purchasing policies and procedures, monitor and mitigate supply chain risks, and manage supplier relations through periodic business and performance reviews. The role requires collaboration with legal and accounting teams to negotiate contracts and resolve financial commitments. The Procurement Manager will represent the procurement team in leadership meetings and support EV trade shows to identify new suppliers. Some travel to supplier and customer sites will be required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, mentor and lead an effective team of Direct Procurement Buyers for Monarch Tractor Program and future customer programs.
  • Provide requirements and support IT on the integration and purchasing data migration into SAP.
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, confidentiality agreements, master purchase agreements, and others as required with suppliers.
  • Identify and drive implementation of cost reduction actions to support customer and FOH requirements.
  • Localize, identify and on-board new suppliers.
  • Responsible and Accountable for supplier key performance indicators.
  • Develop and govern purchasing policies and procedures.
  • Monitor, assess and mitigate supply chain risk.
  • Develop and manage supplier relations, conduct periodic business/performance reviews for continued improvement of deliverables.
  • Partner with legal to negotiate commercial contracts/agreements with suppliers including NDA's and T&C's.
  • Partner with Accounting to resolve any financial commitments to supplier partners.
  • Represent the procurement team in leadership meetings.
  • Support EV trade shows to identify new suppliers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Supply Chain, Finance, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or similar degree from an accredited college or university required.
  • A minimum of seven years of experience in the procurement field, preferably in Automotive, managing a procurement team or as Project Leader with proven track record of success.
  • Strong experience working with SAP system.
  • CSCP, CPM or CPP certification is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings/technical requirements/specifications.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written and presentation).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.).
  • Strong project management skills to keep team and actions on track to completion.
