The Purchasing Manager at Ash Grove Cement plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing the purchasing and inventory control activities within the organization. The Purchasing Manager will also be responsible for managing the verification and approval process for purchasing activities, ensuring that all purchase orders are properly signed and authorized. The position requires the use of various software tools, including Bentley for maintaining records of purchasing activities and Avantis for managing inventory and equipment. The Purchasing Manager will participate in plant programs and meetings, lead the Inventory Leadership team, and prepare reports regarding purchasing activities. This role is essential for maintaining compliance with company guidelines and ensuring that purchasing policies are followed for both procurement and inventory management. The Purchasing Manager will also provide support and training to the Accounts Payable clerk as needed, contributing to the overall efficiency of the purchasing process.
