About the position

The Purchasing Manager for Regional Supply Resilience at Henkel is responsible for optimizing the end-to-end value chain from demand to supply, ensuring supplier performance, and managing supply continuity. This role involves proactive engagement with suppliers, enhancing supplier quality, and managing inventory levels. The Purchasing Manager will also support sourcing categories to improve contractual agreements and ensure consistent documentation and reporting on supply disruptions and resilience KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Optimize the end-to-end value chain demand-to-supply to improve supplier performance levels.
• Ensure supply continuity and manage critical shortages and Force Majeures to avoid out of stocks.
• Support sourcing categories in enhancing contractual agreements for risk mitigation and operational performance.
• Ensure consistent global documentation and reporting on supply disruptions and defined supply resilience KPIs.
• Enhance the usage of tools and BI dashboards on supplier performance and supply disruption.
• Responsible for local supplier scouting in collaboration with sourcing teams to increase sourcing flexibility.

Requirements

• MBA degree with a minimum of three years of related experience or a four-year college degree with five years of related experience.
• Proven understanding of general business processes including Supply Chain and Procurement planning, Costing, and Finance.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to align multinational resources to resolve Supply Chain issues.
• Ability to quickly gain cross-category knowledge in different direct materials and logistics sourcing categories.
• High level of digital skills to drive creative solutions in Procurement and Supply Chain.
• Demonstrated project management and communication skills.
