About the position

The Purchasing Manager at Flagship Communities will play a critical role in developing and executing the supply chain strategy through effective sourcing and procurement practices. This position requires a detail-oriented and proactive individual who can collaborate effectively with various stakeholders to meet the company's supply chain needs. The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for supplier development, cost reduction strategies, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies.

Responsibilities

• Develop suppliers and solutions to meet supply chain needs.
• Generate sourcing strategies considering market trends and total cost of ownership.
• Analyze product/service and procurement costs to create cost reduction strategies.
• Collaborate with community managers to identify product and service opportunities.
• Negotiate agreements with key suppliers, focusing on cost, terms, service, and quality.
• Implement sourced products and services using project and change management disciplines.
• Monitor and manage supplier performance, ensuring focus on quality and cost.
• Identify and escalate critical external relationships affecting the supply chain.
• Ensure compliance with sourcing and procurement policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or related field.
• 5 to 8 years of sourcing and procurement experience.
• Strong supply chain management knowledge and negotiating skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentations.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Experience in project management.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
