Position Title: Purchasing Manager Focus: Direct Procurement Field: Construction Reports to: Director of Operations Salary Range: ($72,000.00 - $82,000.00) Type: Full-time (In-Office) Schedule: 8-hour shift Monday - Friday Introduction: Pase Environmental (“Pase”) is a leading provider of erosion control products and services with locations in Parker and Broomfield, serving customers throughout the Denver metropolitan area. Our company collaborates with builders across residential, commercial, infrastructure, and municipal sectors, ensuring compliance with stormwater regulations to protect local communities from pollutants and debris. Position Overview: Pase is a market leader in its region and well capitalized to initiate an aggressive growth plan. The Purchasing Manager will play a critical role in driving the company's expansion strategy. This position will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process across all projects, with a focus on developing and implementing strategic procurement strategies, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring the efficient and cost-effective procurement of goods and services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in procurement, exceptional analytical and communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while building lasting business relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives, driving cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery across all projects.
  • Oversee the entire procurement process, from sourcing to delivery, ensuring that all goods and services are procured in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Identify, negotiate, and secure contracts with vendors and trade partners to obtain the best possible prices, terms, and quality.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vendors, trade partners, and subcontractors to ensure high-quality products and services.
  • Conduct ongoing market research to identify potential new suppliers, evaluating their suitability, and negotiating contracts that meet the company's needs.
  • Monitor and report on key procurement metrics, including cost savings, supplier performance, and quality, to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
  • Identify areas for improvement within the procurement process and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Oversee the onboarding of subcontractors, ensuring that project-specific requirements are captured and communicated effectively.
  • Manage logistics and shipping activities, tracking and monitoring incoming domestic and international shipments to ensure timely delivery.
  • Utilize Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems to manage inventory efficiently, coordinating monthly inventory counts with the CFO and the Regional VP of Operations.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and industry regulations, while regularly reporting procurement status to the Regional VP of Operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience within the construction industry.
  • Certified Purchasing Manager (CPPM, CPM, CPSM or PMP) Certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning systems.
  • Understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requirements is a plus.
  • Ability to read and comprehend drawings and blueprints.
  • OSHA 30 certification is desired.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
