About the position

The Purchasing Manager at Delphinus Engineering, Inc. is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective procurement of materials and services while complying with government policies and regulations. This role involves managing purchase orders, tracking procurement processes, and communicating with program managers to ensure timely delivery and compliance with federal acquisition regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Apply procurement policies and procedures in compliance with FAR and DFARS.
  • Prepare Purchase Orders (POs) based on requests from Program Managers and Logistics.
  • Track POs from inception through vendor acceptance.
  • Ensure compliance of purchase orders and documentation with procurement system requirements.
  • Communicate with Program Managers regarding the status of materials and services.
  • Monitor procurement tasks to ensure on-time delivery and assist in expediting delivery as needed.
  • Forward invoices for payment after satisfactory inspection and receipt of items.
  • Maintain and retain all procurement files.
  • Prepare Vendor Feedback reports to address issues with received materials.
  • Assist with audits of procurement files.
  • Manage purchases using the Purchase Card (P-Card) process and reconcile accounts with authorized PORs.
  • Provide input for addressing Corrective Action Reports (CAR) regarding purchasing process issues.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years' experience in a related field.
  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Attention to detail is a must.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written & oral).
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
