About the position

The Purchasing Manager at Everton Homes is responsible for overseeing the procurement of construction materials and creating project specifications for custom home builds. This role requires a strong background in construction, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers and suppliers to ensure timely project execution.

Responsibilities

• Research, source and purchase construction materials, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and interior designers to create and refine complete project specifications for custom homes.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers.
• Coordinate with project managers to align material deliveries with project schedules.
• Review and manage purchase orders, invoices, and ensure accurate documentation.
• Provide regular reports on cost-saving initiatives and track subcontractor performance.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in homebuilding and construction.
• Experience in purchasing and procurement within the homebuilding industry.
• Strong negotiation skills and knowledge of construction materials and supplies.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
