About the position

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager with a focus on sourcing to manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and optimize purchasing processes for cost-effective and timely procurement of goods and services. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and collaborative, enjoying interactions with vendors and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Provide information and support to resolve issues and facilitate collaborative relationships as the primary point of contact with vendors & suppliers.
• Develop and implement procurement strategy and monitor performance.
• Develop vendor management processes and frameworks to onboard, nurture and support vendor relationships, control costs, manage risks, and maximize service efficiency.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to identify, address, and resolve problems, operational inefficiencies, or disruptions in the supply chain.
• Provide reports and analysis of performance metrics used to conduct regular review processes and drive continuous improvement in vendor relationships.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to industry standards.
• Contribute to moderately complex aspects of a project.
• Work independently and collaboratively.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
• 4-7 years of related experience in procurement, with 2 years in a managerial role preferred.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Knowledge of Berry Amendment, Buy American Act, and experience with HS codes is a plus.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance and industry standards.
