About the position

The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for overseeing the purchasing process for foodservice-related products and services, managing a spend of $10 million on commercial foodservice equipment, supplies, and disposables. This role requires a strong background in purchasing, proficiency in AutoQuotes, and specific experience in the foodservice industry. The Purchasing Manager will develop relationships with suppliers and vendors, implement supply and production strategies, and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the purchasing process for all foodservice-related products and services.
  • Utilize AutoQuotes software to source and negotiate with suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of stock.
  • Analyze market trends to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to forecast needs and manage budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in AutoQuotes software.
  • Strong knowledge of the foodservice industry.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • A bachelor's degree in business administration or supply chain management or a related field is preferred.
