About the position

The Purchasing Manager at Catapult Global LLC / Hontech International Corporation / AIE Manufacturing plays a crucial role in supporting all procurement activities that align with the company's annual revenue goals. Reporting directly to the COO, this position is responsible for overseeing the procurement operations across all associated companies. The Purchasing Manager will engage in strategic planning, budget setting, and identifying cost-saving opportunities within procurement operations. This role emphasizes collaboration, requiring the Purchasing Manager to foster a positive team environment with both internal and external partners to ensure the successful execution of the corporate strategy aimed at meeting annual revenue forecasts. In this role, the Purchasing Manager will execute the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) process, ensuring that timely transactions in the ERP system are completed by all Buyers and Purchasing Agents. The position involves planning and overseeing the work of these team members, as well as hiring and training new staff. A significant aspect of the role includes developing the organization's procurement rules and regulations in collaboration with the China Procurement Team, ensuring clear communication and adherence to common processes. The Purchasing Manager will establish guidelines regarding safety stock requirements, the frequency of price quotes for items, the number of bids to accept, and the selection of vendors. Responsibilities also include purchasing goods and services necessary for operations and product delivery, discussing and coordinating purchasing contracts, and evaluating the quality, price, reliability, technical support, and availability of goods and services. Additionally, the role requires generating reports on production metrics, efficiency, and quality, while continuously identifying opportunities for process improvement to enhance productivity. The Purchasing Manager must be adaptable to changing priorities and activities, demonstrating effective decision-making and superior communication skills, along with excellent organizational and time management abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Support all procurement activities in alignment with the company's annual revenue goals.
  • Participate in planning, budget setting, and identifying cost-saving opportunities across procurement operations.
  • Coordinate and promote a positive team environment with internal and external partners.
  • Execute the MRP Process ensuring timely transactions in ERP are completed by all Buyers and Purchasing Agents.
  • Plan and oversee the work of Buyers and Purchasing Agents.
  • Hire and train new staff for the procurement team.
  • Develop procurement rules and regulations in collaboration with the China Procurement Team.
  • Establish guidelines on safety stock requirements and vendor selection processes.
  • Purchase goods and services to support operations and product delivery.
  • Discuss and coordinate purchasing contracts with vendors.
  • Evaluate quality, price, reliability, technical support, and availability of goods and services.
  • Generate reports on production metrics, efficiency, and quality.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance productivity.
  • Manage department expenses and provide leadership to Buyers and Purchasing Agents.

Requirements

  • Mid-level experience in procurement or purchasing management.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Effective decision-making ability and problem-solving techniques.

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
