About the position

The Purchasing Manager at JAG Mobile Solutions is responsible for overseeing the purchasing team, managing supplier relationships, and coordinating with internal teams to meet supply needs. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to ensure effective negotiation and maintenance of profitable relationships with suppliers. The ideal candidate will focus on improving purchasing systems and processes while training new employees in the purchasing process.

Responsibilities

• Managing daily purchasing activities by building a productive team
• Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation
• Coordinating with inventory control to determine and manage inventory needs
• Working to improve purchasing systems and processes
• Training new employees in the purchasing process and how to use the purchasing system
• Managing relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance to terms of contracts
• Increasing inventory turns

Requirements

• Proven success as a purchasing manager or applicable experience
• Supervisory and management experience
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Working knowledge of MS Office and Sage Accounting software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A strong analytical mindset
• BS/BA in business administration or relevant field - a plus, but not required
