We are looking for an innovative Procurement Manager to lead our procurement function. You will spearhead the purchasing process from selecting suppliers to ensuring the optimization of goods and services procurement, as well as coordinating timely shipping to designated locations. You will also provide guidance on sourcing and procurement processes. As a Procurement Manager, your primary duties will include developing sound, cost-effective, and innovative procurement and sourcing strategies for purchasing materials and services used in the business. You will source suppliers and initiate business and organizational partnerships while continually scouting for additional (back-up) vendors. Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers will be crucial, as will negotiating with vendors to secure advantageous terms. You will perform risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements while working closely with the company legal department to ensure favorable contracts and terms. Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure ongoing feasibility will also be part of your responsibilities. Evaluating spending operations while seeking ways to improve and enhance the quality of products purchased and the timeliness of deliveries is essential. Additionally, you will coordinate purchase orders, obtain approval for expenditures, and organize and confirm the delivery of goods and services; finalizing purchase details of orders and deliveries. Overseeing and managing systems that track shipments, inventory, and the supply of goods will be part of your role. You will prepare procurement reports to track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness. Conducting cost analysis and setting benchmarks for improvement will be necessary, as will collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company. You will foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients, perform analysis to anticipate unfavorable events, and prepare control strategies. Developing risk management procedures to mitigate losses in the event of product shortages will be part of your responsibilities. Assisting with procurement budgeting (when assigned) and promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs will also be expected. You may supervise a purchasing team and delegate tasks across departments as necessary (when assigned). Our Procurement Manager will be a supply chain and logistics expert specializing in implementing cost-effective purchases of all goods and services required by the company. The assurance of quality control and adherence to the company's policies and procedures on supply chain management will be some of the main priorities for this role. This job may include supervising and training responsibility of procurement functions, encountering recurring work situations with occasional variations from the norm, involving a moderate degree of complexity.
