About the position

Nation Wide Products, LLC is currently seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead our Material and Supply Chain activities. This role is crucial for ensuring that our materials planning, scheduling, inventory control, and coordination processes are executed efficiently. The Purchasing Manager will work closely with suppliers, purchasing teams, production planners, and other resources to strategically plan and coordinate the flow of materials and information from procurement to delivery. This position requires a proactive approach to securing materials needed for production based on a 90-day rolling forecast, ensuring that all supplies are delivered in a timely manner and align with the production schedule. In this role, the Purchasing Manager will communicate daily with vendors to monitor the status of supplies and address any issues that may arise. The manager will also be responsible for reviewing and communicating the status of backlogged or past-due purchase orders, updating delivery dates weekly, and confirming each purchase order with the vendor. Participation in weekly production meetings is essential to stay aligned with production needs and to assist with any invoice resolutions as necessary. The Purchasing Manager will also review production paperwork to rectify any inventory discrepancies and will enter daily production quantities into QuickBooks while verifying inventory accuracy. Quality control and inspection of received goods, as well as materials sourcing, are also key responsibilities of this position. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of purchasing experience, with a preference for those who have experience in manufacturing. Strong PC skills are required, particularly proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills are essential, along with strong negotiation skills to effectively manage vendor relationships and procurement processes.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Minimum two years of purchasing experience required.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong PC skills required, with proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Negotiation skills are a must.
