The Purchasing Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing the purchasing process for raw materials and Asian goods within a rapidly growing, family-run organization. This position requires a strategic mindset and a passion for growth, as the company is expanding its reach under new leadership. The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing purchasing strategies, optimizing costs, and improving efficiency while collaborating with various departments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the purchasing process for all raw materials and Asian goods.
• Develop and implement purchasing strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize costs and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with various departments to establish safety stock levels, reorder points, and lead times for materials.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating pricing, contracts, and payment terms.
• Address and resolve supplier discrepancies, quality issues, and other conflicts.
• Monitor purchase orders to ensure cost-effectiveness in material and freight costs.
• Provide regular updates on material costs to support product costing and pricing decisions.
• Evaluate supplier performance and manage risk assessments to ensure reliable supply chains.

Requirements

• 5+ years of purchasing experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical and process-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Proven ability to negotiate and build strong supplier relationships.
• Growth-oriented, ready to help take the business to the next level.
• Experience collaborating across teams to drive company-wide goals.
