About the position

The Purchasing Manager at DEPCOM will oversee a team of buyers responsible for procurement in renewable energy EPC projects. This role focuses on developing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely and accurate purchase order placements to support project goals and company objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of buyers, providing direction, support, and performance feedback.
• Oversee the procurement process, ensuring timely and accurate purchase order placement.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with project goals and company objectives.
• Collaborate with Business Development, Engineering, and Project Delivery teams to understand project requirements and schedules.
• Monitor and manage procurement estimates, ensuring all purchases are under or within the forecasted amount.
• Track and report on procurement metrics, including PO placement life cycle, cost savings, on-time delivery, and supplier performance.
• Address and resolve any procurement-related issues or delays promptly.
• Continuously seek opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.
• Build relationships with key suppliers and support any buyer escalations.
• Manage the prioritization of inventory to new jobs and support allocation of excess inventory at the end of a project life cycle.
• Track and manage on time deliveries of purchased equipment and own the procure to pay cycle.

Requirements

• Experience in leading and managing a procurement team
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes and supplier management
• Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams
• Experience managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Nice-to-haves

• EPC or renewable energy industry experience
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Procurement, or Business Administration
