About the position

The Purchasing Manager will oversee the purchasing and procurement processes for the region, focusing on supplier evaluation and development while optimizing internal and external procedures. This role involves building strategic relationships with suppliers to reduce regional procurement costs through effective negotiations and collaboration with Supply Chain Management (SCM), Research & Development (R&D), and Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire purchasing process and define regional purchasing strategies.
  • Lead strategic sourcing initiatives and oversee contract execution.
  • Conduct supplier evaluations and develop new suppliers.
  • Maintain purchasing synergies between divisions and ensure compliance with purchasing standards.
  • Utilize SAP for order management and keep master data updated.
  • Collaborate with the SCM team and corporate departments on strategic projects.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of purchasing experience.
  • Experience in supplier evaluation and development.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in SAP for order management.
