About the position

The Purchasing Manager will oversee the procurement department for a client in the food and commodities sector on a contract basis. This role is essential to ensure that the procurement needs are met while the company searches for a permanent hire. The position requires a strong focus on sourcing, budgeting, and coordinating deliveries, working closely with the manufacturing and logistics teams.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with manufacturing
• Sole contributor, only ones working on this category
• Sourcing, budgeting, planning, coordinating deliveries, working with planning and logistics team, ensuring inventory arrives when it's needed

Requirements

• 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement
• Experience working with ERP's
• Strong excel skills - building and navigating complex excel models
• Understanding pricing, accounting and finance
