About the position

The Purchasing Manager at Jorgenson Industrial Companies will oversee purchasing, inventory management, and warehouse operations within a fast-paced environment. This role is crucial for managing a significant inventory and ensuring that procurement processes align with the company's operational needs and sales demands.

Responsibilities

• Oversee purchasing, inventory management, warehouse and installation operations across the division.
• Manage $3M+ in stocked products, tracking, monitoring, and maintaining inventory at multiple warehouse locations.
• Source and purchase products as needed for cross-functional teams and support evolving sales and operational needs.
• Analyze past and current inventory turnover to forecast and maintain stock levels that meet sales demands.
• Negotiate favorable purchasing terms with vendors and ensure timely delivery, balancing cost, quality, and schedule needs.
• Prepare purchase order bids, evaluate vendor proposals, and maintain procurement records (items purchased, costs, quality).
• Adjust inventory based on seasonality, sales forecasts, and other market trends to ensure optimal stock levels.
• Work with international vendors and logistics partners, ensuring compliance with government regulations.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Management to align inventory for stocked and promotional items.
• Conduct cyclical and annual inventory counts, addressing and reporting any discrepancies.

Requirements

• Detail-oriented and highly organized with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Proven experience with ERP systems, international logistics, warehouse management, and supply chain best practices.
• Advanced skills in Excel and data analysis.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and vendor relationship management skills.
• Knowledgeable in both domestic and international procurement.
