About the position

The Purchasing Manager will oversee procurement processes and supplier relationships, ensuring efficient operations by sourcing high-quality materials at competitive prices. This role is essential for aligning purchasing strategies with company goals and managing logistics effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with company goals.
• Manage the entire procurement process, including supplier selection, contract negotiation, and purchase order management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and manage inventory levels using MRP systems.
• Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular evaluations to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information in SAP or similar systems.
• Analyze market trends to identify potential suppliers and negotiate favorable terms for the organization.
• Coordinate logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials while minimizing costs.
• Lead efforts to optimize procurement processes and improve overall efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in purchasing or procurement management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.
• Proficiency in SAGE 100 or other procurement software systems is highly desirable.
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers.
• Familiarity with contract management and logistics processes.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
