About the position

The Purchasing Manager at AM&G Waterproofing is responsible for overseeing procurement operations, ensuring timely supply of materials and services, optimizing cost efficiency, and maintaining quality standards. This role is essential for supporting the company's operational needs and driving strategic purchasing decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage vendor relationships to ensure the best quality and cost.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers.
  • Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand.
  • Maintain inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Implement purchasing strategies that align with company goals.
  • Facilitate daily orders by job from foreman and job supervisors.
  • Place purchase orders, verify quantities received and approve payments in a timely fashion.
  • Manage a team of 7-10 employees with over 20 active jobs.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in purchasing or a similar role.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the roofing or restoration industry is a plus.
  • Well organized and team oriented.
  • Proficient in purchasing software and data analysis.

Nice-to-haves

  • Spanish speaking is a plus, but not a requirement.
