About the position

The Director of Procurement is a strategic leader responsible for optimizing procurement processes, driving cost reduction, and ensuring the timely acquisition of goods and services to support organizational goals. This role will collaborate closely with departments including manufacturing, finance, marketing, IT, and others to align procurement strategies with overall business objectives. The position is based in Dallas, Texas, and offers a hybrid work schedule with full relocation assistance available. The salary range for this role is between $140,000 and $200,000, reflecting the importance of this position within the organization. In this role, the Director of Procurement will develop and execute a comprehensive procurement strategy that aligns with the business objectives of the organization. This includes leading and managing a high-performing procurement team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and conducting thorough market analysis and supplier assessments to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate risks. The Director will also negotiate and manage complex supplier contracts to optimize terms and conditions, ensuring that the organization maintains strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure supply chain continuity and collaboration. Additionally, the Director will leverage data analytics and business intelligence tools, such as Power BI, to drive data-driven decision-making and optimize procurement processes. Developing and implementing key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure procurement performance and drive accountability will also be a critical aspect of this role. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential to identify sourcing opportunities, resolve supply chain challenges, and improve overall business operations. The use of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power BI will be integral to optimizing procurement processes, ensuring data accuracy and consistency, and generating actionable insights.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of ten years of progressive experience in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Demonstrated experience in the food industry is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools, including Power BI.
  • Proven track record of successful contract negotiation and supplier relationship management.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools.
