About the position

The Purchasing Manager at Eco-Bat Technologies is responsible for driving competitive advantage and value creation through strategic sourcing initiatives and effective inventory management. This role involves managing procurement initiatives, coaching and mentoring team members, and collaborating with various departments to build strong business relationships both internally and externally.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and manages all purchasing and goods receipts responsibilities
• Attends daily and weekly operations and maintenance meetings
• Manages high level projects and initiatives specific to business unit
• Negotiates long-term agreements
• Coordinates with corporate category managers to ensure national strategy is implemented and followed
• Facilitates prompt responses to expedite requests and emergency orders
• Ensures that team members are following corporate policies regarding purchasing and goods receipts
• Analyzes and reports out on weekly and monthly financial metrics to corporate leadership

Requirements

• 7 years purchasing experience, preferably in manufacturing industry
• Bachelor's degree required (business, supply chain management, or related field)
• Experience in SAP is a plus
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills
• Self-starter who can build sourcing/procurement credibility within groups not accustomed to working with procurement
• Ability to work on-site 4-days a week
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
