About the position

The Purchasing Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of purchasing and procurement within the company. This role involves managing vendor relationships, ensuring accurate order placement, and developing purchasing forecasts to meet the needs of the organization. The Purchasing Manager plays a critical role in sourcing new products and maintaining vendor quotas, all while providing excellent customer service and support.

Responsibilities

  • Review and enter all orders and ensure they are correct and complete.
  • Facilitate timely placement of purchase orders (hardware and software).
  • Function as product vendor liaison.
  • Receive incoming phone calls from clients or vendors.
  • Identify and source new products and supplies, bringing in and vetting products for testing.
  • Track vendor quotas and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Develop and manage purchasing forecasts.
  • Audit vendor files for accuracy.

Requirements

  • Understanding of software licensing structures.
  • Background in ordering software and hardware.
  • Computer and server configuration/specs.
  • Hardware/software and retail experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in retail automation solutions.
  • Familiarity with Point-of-Sale systems.
