The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for the development and deployment of comprehensive supply chain strategies, scheduling, and purchase estimating specifically for the North American market. This role requires a strategic mindset and the ability to collaborate effectively with various functional leaders and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment in supply planning and sourcing priorities for multiple programs. The Supply Chain Manager will oversee tactical supply planning and execution, as well as manage the supplier network to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. In this position, the Supply Chain Manager will be accountable for the oversight of the purchasing team, providing continuous coaching and conducting personnel reviews to foster the growth and development of team members. The manager will also be responsible for developing and implementing departmental processes aimed at improving quality and timing within the supply chain operations. A key aspect of this role includes overseeing the sourcing strategy for direct, indirect, and service-related purchases, setting departmental and personal goals that can be benchmarked through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to achieve year-over-year improvements. The Supply Chain Manager will actively seek out and capitalize on strategic opportunities that provide significant advantages to clients, focusing on enhancing quality, delivery, and cost-effectiveness. Building and maintaining strong vendor relationships is crucial, as the manager will work to improve supplier deliveries, quality, and cost through the creation of supplier scorecards to evaluate performance. Additionally, the role involves researching and identifying new vendors to strengthen the supply chain base, negotiating prices and contracts with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of products. The manager will address any quality or delivery issues with suppliers through a corrective action process and maintain financial records of past orders to review costs, delivery timelines, and vendor performance. Participation in kick-off meetings, buy-offs, and job-oriented conferences is essential to stay updated on the latest changes in jobs, products, and proposals. The Supply Chain Manager will also organize departmental meetings to communicate job structures, budgets, and timelines, while adhering to safety and environmental regulations and participating in continuous improvement initiatives. Regular and predictable attendance is a critical function of this role.
