About the position

GSB Industries is seeking a Purchasing Manager to oversee purchasing, inventory management, and the shipping and receiving of goods. This key managerial role is essential for supporting team operations and ensuring customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter capable of multitasking and making decisions in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Purchase goods, including pricing negotiations and maintaining minimum stock levels.
• Process customer filter orders from quoting to shipping, including purchasing, invoicing, and tracking.
• Manage inventory adjustments using Inventory Trackers for contract customers and quoted jobs.
• Physically receive, store, and pull inventory as needed.
• Communicate with technicians on part arrivals for specific work orders.
• Perform data analysis and create reports.
• Complete compressor warranty documentation.
• Support company goals and objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 3+ years of purchasing experience, ideally in a small to medium-sized business.
• Knowledge of inventory setup and movement.
• Experience in shipping, receiving, and customer service.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills with team members, superiors, vendors, and customers.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with QuickBooks Online and Excel.
• Forklift certified, or willingness to train.
