About the position

The Purchasing Manager will oversee all inventory, supplies, and purchases for MilMar Food Group, a food manufacturer. This role requires a skilled negotiator with previous experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably in the food sector, to develop and execute purchasing strategies that reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute purchasing strategies
• Continuously comparison shop for the best possible prices
• Reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
• Partner with reliable vendors and suppliers
• Determine quantity and timing of deliveries
• Negotiate price, delivery, and credit terms
• Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand

Requirements

• Excellent negotiation skills
• Solid decision-making skills
• Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management
• Highly organized
• Ability to work with a variety of people
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• BS degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration
