About the position

The Purchasing Manager at Vinfen will oversee the corporate-wide purchasing efforts, focusing on developing best practice purchasing policies and procedures. This role involves engaging with field staff and vendors to establish a customer-centric procurement process, conducting needs assessments, and leading multi-disciplinary teams to optimize purchasing operations. The Purchasing Manager will also manage RFP processes and ensure effective use of purchasing organizations.

Responsibilities

• Direct corporate-wide purchasing efforts within Vinfen.
• Develop best practice purchasing policies and procedures.
• Engage field staff and end-users in the procurement process.
• Conduct needs assessments and analyze spending patterns for cost savings.
• Facilitate multi-disciplinary teams for purchasing consolidation.
• Develop and manage RFP bid processes.
• Maximize cost-effective use of consortia and group purchasing organizations.
• Recommend policies related to non-salaried expenses acquisition.
• Direct administration of purchasing operations at the corporate office.
• Hire and manage staff to optimize operational goals.

Requirements

• Ten to fifteen years' experience in purchasing, negotiating, logistics, vendor relations, and systems development in a large business environment.
• Five or more years' experience managing staff and fostering a team environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
• Extensive knowledge of purchasing concepts, theories, and practices.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Demonstrated negotiating skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel and Word.
