About the position

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies that optimize supply chain efficiency.
• Manage the procurement process from identifying needs to placing orders and ensuring timely delivery.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
• Oversee contract management, ensuring compliance with agreements and monitoring performance metrics.
• Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to forecast inventory needs accurately.
• Maintain relationships with key suppliers, conducting regular reviews to assess performance and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with internal departments to understand their purchasing needs and provide support as necessary.
• Analyze market trends to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and alternative sourcing options.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles.
• Proven experience in contract negotiation and management.
• Proficiency in MRP systems and SAP software for procurement processes.
• Excellent vendor management skills, with a focus on building strong supplier relationships.
• Ability to procure goods effectively while negotiating competitive prices.
• Strong analytical skills for evaluating supplier performance and market conditions.
