About the position

The Purchasing Manager will oversee procurement processes and supply chain operations, ensuring optimal inventory levels while sourcing high-quality materials and services at competitive prices. This role is essential for aligning purchasing strategies with business objectives and collaborating with various departments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with organizational goals.
• Manage the procurement process from sourcing to contract negotiation and supplier selection.
• Oversee inventory management to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing excess.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify purchasing needs and specifications.
• Analyze market trends and supplier performance to optimize sourcing decisions.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms for favorable pricing.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding procurement activities.
• Continuously evaluate supply chain processes for efficiency improvements.

Requirements

• Proven experience in supply chain management or a related field.
• Familiarity with inventory management practices and systems.
• Experience in sourcing materials or services relevant to our industry.
• Proficiency in using Oracle EBS or similar procurement systems is preferred.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
