About the position

The Purchasing Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing all aspects of purchasing and procurement within the organization. This position is responsible for ensuring that all orders are reviewed, entered, and processed accurately and efficiently. The Purchasing Manager will facilitate the timely placement of purchase orders for both hardware and software, ensuring that the organization has the necessary resources to operate effectively. This role also involves acting as a liaison between the company and its product vendors, which requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage relationships effectively. In addition to order management, the Purchasing Manager will receive incoming phone calls from clients and vendors, addressing inquiries and resolving issues as they arise. A key responsibility of this role is to identify and source new products and supplies, which includes bringing in and vetting products for testing. The Purchasing Manager must have a thorough understanding of every aspect of the products being procured to ensure they meet the organization's needs. Tracking vendor quotas and ensuring that deadlines are met is another critical aspect of this position. The Purchasing Manager will develop and manage purchasing forecasts to anticipate the organization's needs and ensure that inventory levels are maintained. Auditing vendor files for accuracy is also essential to ensure compliance and accuracy in the procurement process. Overall, the Purchasing Manager must be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks effectively.

Responsibilities
