About the position

The Purchasing Manager at OSF COMPANY is responsible for managing supplier relationships, ensuring the quality and timely delivery of materials necessary for manufacturing operations. This role involves preparing purchase orders, analyzing supplier quotes, and maintaining inventory accuracy, while also requiring effective communication with suppliers and team members.

Responsibilities

• Manage relationships with assigned suppliers to maintain quality of goods and timely delivery.
• Prepare and submit detailed reports as defined by the Manager.
• Prepare Purchase Orders and provide them to suppliers.
• Communicate with Suppliers regarding schedule changes and expedite deliveries.
• Distribute Requests for Quotes to potential Suppliers.
• Analyze Quotes from potential Suppliers to determine the best options based on price, delivery dates, and specifications.
• Track the status of Requests for Quotes, Contracts, and Orders.
• Locate and evaluate potential new suppliers for new product needs.
• Perform administrative transactions to ensure inventory accuracy with the Warehouse Manager.
• Approve supplier invoices as needed with the AP Department.
• Communicate with the Team regarding late material arrivals and supplier issues.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a Purchasing role.
• Proficient in using a Purchasing management system or similar software, like Quickbooks.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks.
• Physical stamina to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Warehouse experience (2 years preferred)
• Knowledge of Spanish (required)
