About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Purchasing Manager to oversee our procurement processes and supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing purchasing strategies, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring the timely acquisition of goods and services necessary for our operations. This role requires strong analytical skills, negotiation expertise, and a thorough understanding of supply chain dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement process from requisition through to purchase order issuance.
• Oversee vendor management, including selection, evaluation, and performance monitoring.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
• Collaborate with internal departments to understand their purchasing needs and ensure timely delivery of products.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance metrics.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to procurement activities.
• Coordinate logistics to optimize inventory levels and minimize supply chain disruptions.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar procurement role.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of supply chain management procedures.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
