About the position

The Purchasing Manager at Cinemark will oversee and manage all aspects of international purchasing and trade compliance. This role is essential for ensuring that procurement activities are conducted efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with relevant regulations. The Purchasing Manager will develop purchasing strategies, maintain supplier relationships, coordinate with internal teams, and lead the purchasing team in their daily operations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement international purchasing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with international suppliers.
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure compliance with Cinemark's standards and requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to forecast demand and manage inventory levels.
  • Lead, mentor, and train the purchasing team, establishing clear objectives and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all international trade regulations, including import/export laws and customs regulations.
  • Maintain trade compliance policies and procedures, conducting regular audits to identify compliance risks.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with international suppliers and vendors, resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and present reports on purchasing and compliance activities to senior management.
  • Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in international purchasing and trade compliance.
  • Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM).
  • Strong knowledge of international trade regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing software.
