About the position

DEPCOM is looking for a contribution motivated Purchasing Manager to join our Supply Chain team in Scottsdale, AZ. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a team of buyers for our renewable energy EPC projects and services. This position is not eligible for VISA Sponsorship. Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of buyers, providing direction, support, and performance feedback.
• Oversee the procurement process, ensuring timely and accurate purchase order placement.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with project goals and company objectives.
• Collaborate with Business Development, Engineering, and Project Delivery teams to understand project requirements and schedules.
• Monitor and manage procurement estimates, ensuring all purchases are under or within the forecasted amount.
• Track and report on procurement metrics, including PO placement life cycle, cost savings, on-time delivery, and supplier performance.
• Address and resolve any procurement-related issues or delays promptly.
• Continuously seek opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.
• Build relationships with key suppliers and support any buyer escalations.
• Manage the prioritization of inventory to new jobs and support allocation of excess inventory at the end of a project life cycle.
• Track and manage on-time deliveries of purchased equipment and own the procure to pay cycle.

Requirements

• Experience in leading and managing a procurement team
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes and supplier management
• Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams
• Experience managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Nice-to-haves

• EPC or renewable energy industry experience
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Procurement, or Business Administration
