About the position

The Purchasing Manager at Paradise Point Resort and Spa is responsible for overseeing the procurement operations of the resort, ensuring efficient purchasing processes, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. This role is crucial for optimizing costs and enhancing supply chain operations while contributing to the overall success of the hospitality organization. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to meet the organization's needs and optimize supply chain operations.
• Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, manage vendor relationships, and enhance supplier diversity.
• Oversee the purchasing process, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of goods, services, and materials.
• Collaborate with various departments to determine purchasing requirements and specifications.
• Monitor inventory levels, optimize inventory management procedures, and streamline supply chain operations.
• Conduct market research to identify cost-saving opportunities and industry trends.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and pricing agreements.
• Lead a team of purchasing professionals and provide guidance and support.

Requirements

• Must have a High School diploma or GED equivalent and relevant certifications in procurement.
• Minimum 3 years of related experience in procurement, supply chain management, or purchasing.
• Read, write and speak English fluently.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other Team Members.
