About the position

The Purchasing Manager role in Austin, TX, is a pivotal position within a rapidly transforming procurement environment. The organization is currently enabling digital procurement solutions, embedding processes, and building a robust structure to support this transformation. The Purchasing Manager will focus on three key areas during this transition: ensuring that procurement requirements are met as the organization grows, embedding new digital solutions across all procurement categories and geographies, and implementing the Global Procurement Policy to establish effective and value-adding processes specifically for the US market. As the volume of procurement increases and the current structure evolves, the Purchasing Manager will be responsible for developing the necessary processes and procedures for the department. This role involves purchasing a wide range of goods and services to support both current operations and future growth initiatives. Building and maintaining strong relationships with global colleagues and suppliers is essential, as is effective communication to ensure alignment and collaboration. The Purchasing Manager will also monitor market trends, costs, and identify opportunities for cost reduction and value creation, all while supporting the organization’s growth journey. The successful candidate will need to navigate a complex stakeholder environment where processes and governance are still being established. The strategic plan emphasizes the need to balance robust systems and processes with the flexibility required for organizational growth. This role will have a global reach, impacting all regions where the organization operates.
