About the position

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Plumbing Purchasing Manager to join our team. As a leading provider of plumbing and heating services, we are committed to delivering exceptional quality and customer satisfaction. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the procurement of plumbing products and materials, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will work closely with suppliers and vendors to negotiate contracts, monitor inventory levels, and collaborate with internal teams to forecast material requirements. Your expertise in the plumbing industry will be crucial in identifying new suppliers and keeping up-to-date with market trends. Additionally, you will play a key role in resolving any issues or disputes with suppliers, as well as continuously improving our purchasing processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with plumbing suppliers and vendors
  • Evaluate suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery capabilities
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely procurement of plumbing products and materials
  • Collaborate with internal teams to forecast and plan material requirements
  • Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and keep up-to-date with industry trends
  • Resolve any issues or disputes with suppliers in a timely manner
  • Monitor and analyze purchase data to identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Continuously improve purchasing processes and procedures

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Plumbing Purchase Manager or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing products, materials, and suppliers
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in using purchasing software and systems
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred)
