About the position

The Purchasing Manager at Tronair will oversee all purchasing and vendor development activities, focusing on supplier performance and cost reductions. This role involves annual budgeting, sourcing services, supporting product development, and inventory planning, ensuring compliance with ISO standards and driving supplier improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all purchasing and vendor development activities for the organization.
  • Develop and implement metrics to drive supplier performance and cost reductions.
  • Identify and execute on annual savings targets.
  • Develop supplier performance metrics and scorecards to drive corrective actions.
  • Oversee CAPEX purchases and expenditures.
  • Establish programs to ensure compliance with ISO standards.
  • Direct supplier improvement initiatives for quality and lead time adherence.
  • Provide daily direction to Buyers and Planners.
  • Implement inventory methodology to support growth targets and lead time expectations.
  • Work closely with Product Management on changes and new product development.
  • Ensure compliance with Tronair's workflow process for buying and establishing new components.
  • Communicate Tronair requirements and performance expectations to suppliers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of Sourcing and Purchasing management experience.
  • Experience in budget planning for PPV and program changes.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and regulations.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to exercise independent judgment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, manufacturing processes, and spreadsheet software.
