About the position

The Purchasing & Planning Manager at Adept Life Sciences is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing raw materials and services to meet operational requirements while adhering to budget constraints. This role involves strategic procurement across various categories, developing new processes, and managing inventory levels to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Develop, lead and execute purchasing and planning strategies.
• Monitor inventory and work to reduce excess, no demand and obsolete inventory.
• Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms.
• Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power.
• Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
• Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers.
• Determine quantity and timing of deliveries to meet production schedules.
• Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
• 5+ years of Supply Chain experience in a manufacturing setting.
• 3+ years of experience managing a team.
• Working experience using ERP/MRP Software.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Project Management experience is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

• CPM or APICS Certification preferred.
