About the position

The Purchasing - Receiving Clerk at Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate is responsible for managing the daily operations of the food, beverage, and general storerooms. This role involves receiving, storing, and issuing products while ensuring compliance with health regulations and operational procedures. The clerk plays a vital role in maintaining inventory accuracy and organization within the storerooms, contributing to the overall efficiency of the resort's operations.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for proper receiving, shipping, storing, and issuing of all food and beverage products in the storerooms under the guidance of the storeroom manager.
• Inspect and unpack all merchandise received, and stock/store it appropriately.
• Assist the storeroom manager in keeping the storeroom organized by sorting items as directed.
• Assist in pricing and dating groceries and canned goods using a pricing gun, ensuring first in/first out (F.I.F.O.) rotation.
• Strictly adhere to the operating hours of the storerooms.
• Assist the storeroom manager in filling General Storeroom requisitions.
• Help in conducting end-of-month inventories.
• Ensure unauthorized persons are kept off premises and check requisitions for proper authorization.
• Assist in inspecting refrigeration units and report any temperature deviations or quality issues of perishables.
• Responsible for cleaning all storerooms.
• Follow Omni Hotels operating procedures and local health regulations.
• Maintain a list of out-of-stock items for follow-up.
• Verify that all requisitions are completed and closed out.
• Check and lock all coolers/storeroom doors before end of day.

Requirements

• Must be flexible and able to work AM and PM shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to handle repeated lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 pounds.
• Basic understanding of computer operations is required.
