About the position

The Purchasing-Returns Coordinator at Ford Audio Video is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the accounting and purchasing team in a dynamic, high-volume environment. This role involves managing vendor relationships, placing orders, negotiating pricing and terms, and ensuring effective communication regarding purchase orders. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of multitasking while maintaining high ethical standards in all business communications.

Responsibilities

  • Place orders with vendors and negotiate pricing, terms, and shipping costs.
  • Track and communicate the status of all purchase orders.
  • Coordinate procedures for accomplishing work assignments efficiently.
  • Work directly with the Accounting Center Manager to make timely and cost-effective purchases.
  • Maintain high ethical and moral standards in all business communications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 1 year of purchasing experience.
  • Experience in vendor relations and customer service.
  • General accounting experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Advanced PC skills, including proficiency in MS Office and 10-key by touch.
