About the position

The Supplier Manager at Woodward is responsible for managing supplier performance and ensuring that purchasing goals are met. This role involves working closely with various suppliers and commodities, driving corrective actions based on supplier metrics, and supporting sourcing strategies. The position requires travel to suppliers as necessary and involves compliance with contractual agreements and crisis management issues.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier performance to QDRC metrics as they relate to Purchasing goals.
• Identify areas of concern using supplier metrics and drive corrective action around QDRC.
• Support execution of sourcing strategies within the commodity strategy and framework, including supplier assessments and development.
• Travel to assigned suppliers as necessary (domestic and international).
• Ensure compliance with requirements in various contractual agreements.
• Resolve CoE crisis management issues involving suppliers, including expediting and recovery plans.
• Facilitate periodic performance reviews with key suppliers to review performance and establish corrective action plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Materials, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Business or Engineering or equivalent education and experience.
• 2 or more years of experience in a purchasing role.
• Experience in multiple procurement categories.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%.

Nice-to-haves

• Background and experience in supplier management of mechanically engineered components, critical systems enablers, special processes and raw materials.
