About the position

The Purchasing Supplier Manager at Woodward is responsible for managing supplier performance and ensuring compliance with purchasing goals. This role involves working closely with various suppliers and commodities to meet performance metrics and drive corrective actions when necessary. The position requires travel to suppliers and involves supplier assessments and development within the commodity strategy framework.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier performance to QDRC metrics as they relate to Purchasing goals.
• Identify areas of concern using supplier metrics and drive corrective action around QDRC.
• Support execution of sourcing strategies within the commodity strategy and framework, including supplier assessments and business transitions.
• Travel to assigned suppliers as necessary (domestic and international).
• Facilitate periodic performance reviews with key suppliers to review performance and establish corrective action plans.
• Resolve CoE crisis management issues involving suppliers, including expediting and recovery plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Materials, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Business or Engineering or equivalent education and experience.
• 2 or more years of experience in a purchasing role.
• Experience in multiple procurement categories.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%.

Nice-to-haves

• Background and experience in supplier management of mechanically engineered components, critical systems enablers, special processes and raw materials.
