The Forklift Driver position in Katy, TX involves operating both stand-up and sit-down forklifts to manage the movement of products and supplies within a shipping area. The role requires maintaining a clean and organized workspace while performing various material handling tasks, including unloading trucks and preparing products for shipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of safety protocols and equipment operation, along with problem-solving skills to address material control issues.
Responsibilities
- Drive stand-up and sit-down forklifts to move pallets of product and other supplies.
- Wrap finished products and prepare for shipment.
- Unload enclosures and keep the shipping area clean and organized.
- Move enclosures to correct cells and areas utilizing overhead cranes.
- Perform basic material handling activities such as unloading trucks, receiving parts, material movements, order fulfillment, cycle counts, and inventory error investigations.
- Analyze and recommend solutions to material control problems.
- Utilize power lifting equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 2-3 years of forklift experience required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
- Strong problem-solving skills and self-motivated.
- Flexible work schedule availability.
Benefits
