About the position

The Senior PV Solar Field Technician at NextEra Energy plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and optimal performance of wind, solar, and battery operations. This position focuses on field-based equipment maintenance, diagnostics, and long-term reliability, while fostering a strong safety culture and supporting the development of other technicians. The role involves collaboration with various teams to enhance operational efficiency and financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Implementing Operation Safety Policy Instructions and conducting field work in compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Participating in Business Lean Six Sigma processes and projects.
• Recruiting and developing other technicians for ongoing team development.
• Supporting site manager with safety and environmental reporting, financial reporting, and equipment availability.
• Driving site project turnover from ROI team to operations team.
• Collaborating with internal users to develop and implement maintenance feedback and solutions.
• Presenting a positive professional representation of NextEra Energy in the community and with customers.
• Performing reliability engineering and warranty management.
• Conducting electrical and power electronics troubleshooting and repairs.
• Stewarding safety and environmental programs.
• Supervising NEE employees and contractors.
• Managing business duties and inventory.
• Operating heavy equipment and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• High School Grad / GED
• 3+ years of experience in a related field
• Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)
