About the position

As a Senior Technician at NextEra Energy, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and optimal performance of wind, solar, and battery operations. This position focuses on field-based equipment maintenance, diagnostics, and long-term reliability, while promoting a strong safety culture and compliance with regulations. You will also be involved in recruiting and developing technicians, supporting site management, and collaborating on maintenance and improvement projects.

Responsibilities

• Implement Operation Safety Policy Instructions and conduct field work in compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Encourage good employee safety practices and drive an unparalleled employee safety culture.
• Participate in Business Lean Six Sigma processes and projects.
• Recruit and develop other technicians for ongoing team development.
• Support site manager in safety and environmental reporting, financial reporting, and equipment availability.
• Drive site project turnover from ROI team to operations team.
• Collaborate with internal users to develop and implement feedback and solutions for maintenance and improvement projects.
• Present a positive professional representation of NextEra Energy in the community and with customers.
• Perform reliability engineering and warranty management.
• Conduct operation and basic maintenance of equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and power electronics.
• Steward safety and environmental programs.
• Supervise NEE employees and contractors.
• Perform mechanical troubleshooting and repairs.
• Manage business duties and inventory.
• Operate heavy equipment and ensure regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• High School Grad / GED
• 3+ years of experience in a related field
• Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)
